Welcome to Promptly

Promptly is an AI-powered church website builder operated by REACHRIGHT ("we," "us," or "our"). When you use Promptly, you're agreeing to these terms. We've written them in plain language because legal documents shouldn't require a law degree to understand.

By creating an account or using Promptly in any way, you agree to everything in this document. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use Promptly

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your church or organization to use Promptly. By signing up, you represent that you have the authority to bind your church or organization to these terms.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If someone accesses your account because your password was compromised, you're responsible for any actions taken through that account. Let us know immediately at support@promptly.church if you believe your account has been compromised.

The free trial

Promptly offers a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. During the trial, you get full access to all features. When the trial ends, your site will go offline unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

We save everything you built during the trial. Nothing gets deleted. When you subscribe, your site comes back exactly as you left it.

Billing and payments

After your trial, Promptly costs $49 per month when billed annually or $59 per month when billed monthly. All prices are in US dollars.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle. We'll charge the payment method you have on file. You can cancel anytime from your account settings.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe on behalf of REACHRIGHT, the company behind Promptly. REACHRIGHT is the name you'll see at checkout and on your card statement.

If a payment fails, we'll try again a few times and let you know by email. If we can't collect payment after reasonable attempts, we may suspend your site until the balance is resolved.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees and no contracts. When you cancel, your site stays live through the end of your current billing period. After that, it goes offline.

We don't give refunds for partial billing periods. If something's gone wrong with a charge, email support@promptly.church and we'll make it right.

Canceling doesn't delete anything. We keep your account, website, and content so you can resubscribe anytime and pick up right where you left off. If you'd rather we permanently delete your data, email support@promptly.church and we'll take care of it.

What you own

You own the content you provide to Promptly: your church name, descriptions, photos, logos, and any text you write or approve. We don't claim ownership of your content.

The website designs, layouts, and AI-generated copy that Promptly creates for you are licensed to you for use on your Promptly site for as long as your subscription is active. You may not extract, resell, or redistribute the underlying design system or AI-generated templates.

What we own

Promptly, including the software, AI models, design systems, branding, and all related intellectual property, belongs to REACHRIGHT. These terms don't transfer any of that to you.

Your web address

Every Promptly site gets a free web address on promptly.church (for example, yourchurch.promptly.church) for as long as your account is active. That address is provided by Promptly and isn't transferable.

If you connect a domain you own, it stays yours. You're responsible for keeping it registered and renewed with your domain provider, and you can disconnect it at any time.

Promptly branding

By default, websites built with Promptly include a small "Powered by Promptly" credit in the footer. This helps other churches discover Promptly and supports the growth of our platform. You are free to turn this credit off at any time from your site settings. There is no additional charge for removing it, and doing so will not affect your service or features in any way.

Acceptable use

Promptly is built for churches, ministries, and faith-based organizations. As a faith-based company ourselves, we hold our platform to a standard that reflects that mission. You agree not to use Promptly to:

• Create websites for anything other than a legitimate church, ministry, or faith-based organization
• Publish, promote, or link to pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult content
• Promote gambling, betting, or games of chance
• Promote illegal drug use or the sale of controlled substances
• Post content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or promotes violence or hate speech
• Promote content that contradicts or undermines the values of faith-based ministry, as determined at our sole discretion
• Distribute malware, phishing, or spam through your site
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Promptly
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or replicate the Promptly platform
• Resell or sublicense access to Promptly without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse service to any organization whose content or conduct we determine to be inconsistent with the values of our platform.

AI-generated content

Promptly uses artificial intelligence to generate website copy, design choices, and content suggestions. While we work hard to make the AI accurate and helpful, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that doesn't perfectly reflect your church.

You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content on your site before publishing. Promptly is a tool. The final decisions about what goes live are yours.

Availability and uptime

We work to keep Promptly and your website available 24/7, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Occasional downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues is possible. We'll do our best to notify you in advance of any planned maintenance.

We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary service interruptions.

Third-party integrations

Promptly may integrate with third-party services like payment processors (Pushpay, Tithe.ly), video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo), and other tools. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or policies. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REACHRIGHT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of Promptly.

Our total liability for any claims related to Promptly is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REACHRIGHT, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of Promptly, your content, or your violation of these terms.

Dispute resolution

If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out first. Contact us at support@promptly.church and we'll do our best to resolve things informally.

If we can't resolve it informally, any disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you by email if the changes are significant. Continuing to use Promptly after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
